IN_Food Quality  

IN_Food Quality Project, intends to end the lack of technical qualifications inherent to the food sector, as well as the behavior failures at a motivational and communication level. For this purpose, the project is based on an integrated strategy of training, aimed for the food companies, flexible and adjusted to their needs and at the same time, allows working the behavioral aspects of their human resources. Thus, the training methodology IN_Food Quality aims to supply to the companies a critical and training capability on the field of Food Hygiene and Safety in food (FHS). The Guidance of the European Union concerning to the food control, is that all intervenes on the food chain should be subject of official controls. Through this way, is intended to ensure that the food that reaches the consumers is safe. To this end, the agro-food of all the countries of the European Community, should obey to certain preconditions, based on a management policy of food security. The compliance of these prerequisites by the part of the agro-food businesses, especially the micro and small companies, which still represent a common problem across Europe. Knowing these difficulties, IN_Food Quality project intends to:

  • Increase the levels of requirements compliance in FHS between the food businesses in the different countries which constitutes the partnership IN_Food Quality;
  • Implement and promote on these countries, the "Safe Food" Initiative as a territorial reference regarding the compliance of the requirements on FHS;
  • Aware the European consumers about the significance of the food safety. To achieve these goals, IN_Food Quality counts with a European Partnership level, with the participation of organizations of different countries - German, Bulgaria, Spain, Romania and Portugal.

IN_Food Quality will provide an opportunity to these organizations to exchange experiences and Know-how between them, in addiction to encourage the establishments of informal partnership with other relevant companies in the sector, in their respective countries. IN_Food Quality intends to provide an electronic platform (web-site), with free and easy access, in order to provide information sources on FHS. Besides functioning as a supporting tool of the incorporation process of the IN_Food Quality products, this platform will contribute largely to the project dissemination and also to the activities carried out on the project.
